Course Objectives 1. To provide an understanding of the 3 dimensional drawings.
2. To teach the technical rules of the perspective.
3. To provide the ability to draw as 3 dimensional sketches which are 2 dimensional.
Course Description Free hand perspectives of product designs and simple geometrical shapes. Axonometric, isometric and dimetric perspectives. Rules of the one, two and three vanishing point perspectives. Standing point, variations of the vertical and horizontal viewing angles. Showing object perspectives in the objects in its environment. Perspectives of organic objects. Shading in perspective. Examples and applications to scattered perspective of a product and perspectives of details. Explanation of the perspectives used in design presentation.
Course Outcomes Student, who passed the course satisfactorily can:
1. Learn to consider the products as 3 dimensional.
2. Have an understanding of the technical rules of perspective.
3. Visualize designs as 3 dimensional drawings.
