Course Objectives		1. To teach design processes of fashion accessories, being complementary pieces of contemporary clothing, in the context of industrial product design. 2. To evaluate accessory types, accessory materials and manufacturing methods from the perspective of industrial design, fashion design and fashion trends through the examples from past to present. 3. To give an ability to design a fashion accessory and develop a collection from an inspiring concept or a fashion trend.
Course Description		Definition and Context of Fashion Accessories, Historical Context of Fashion Accessories, Fashion Accessories Manufacturing Methods, Fashion Accessories Research, Development and Design Processes, Trend Analysis and Forecasting, Color and Materials Analysis, Collection Development, Fashion Accessories Drawing and Presentation Applications.
Course Outcomes		Students who pass the course satisfactorily can: 1. Identify the fashion accessories concept and its types. 2. Gain knowledge about the historical context of fashion accessories design and manufacturing processes. 3. Design fashion accessories as an industrial product which fulfills the industry’s needs. 4. Gain the aability to execute the design process of a fashion accessory as trend forecasting, color and material selection, manufacturing process decision making. 5. Understand the concept of collection and be able to develop a fashion accessory collection.
