Course Objectives

Developing a solution by holistically addressing a design problem for a specific purpose; discussing the role of natural and cultural environmental conditions in design; examining the theoretical aspect of architecture through design problems; To gain the ability to master and use architectural terminology and concepts through seminars and research; Critical evaluation of contemporary architectural examples and approaches from Turkey and the world; introducing complex models, computer models and animation techniques; Conducting field trips in order to have a healthy discussion on current architecture in Istanbul.
