EUT 423E - Cult.and Com.in Product Design

Course Objectives

This course aims to introduce undergraduate students to theories of culture and communication in product design and how they can be utilized in different design contexts.

Course Description

The course is composed of modules that are considered to be essential for developing an understanding of particular issues of culture and communication in design. Hence, it includes theories, such as semiology, semantics, language, narratives, discourse and consumption culture in relation to how they are considered in and applied to industrial design.
