PEM 231E - Plant Material II

Course Objectives

The ecoregions and the ecologic characteristics of shrubs, climbing plants, ground covers, and wetland plants will be examined with their growth requirements, architectural, and aesthetic potentials. Also, the size and shape (habitus), leaf type, branching habit, fruits and flowers, and landscape usage will be analyzed.
The course will be held in two parts as the theoretical part in the classroom, and the outdoors practice (plant lab.). The dates of field trips and the outside class activities may vary depending on the seasonal weather forecast.

Course Description
