CEV 424E - Wastewtr Mngmnt in Smll Cmmnts

Course Objectives

1. To teach students how to apply the information acquired in earlier courses for wastewater management of small communities.
2. To demonstrate the similarities and differences of the centralized and decentralized wastewater treatment methods.
3. To introduce the recovery and reuse options of the wastewater from small communities with a holistic approach.
4. To teach the concepts of segregated domestic wastewater streams.

Course Description

Conventional and nonconventional treatment systems in small communities, biosolids and septage management, natural treatment systems. package treatment systems, ınfrastructure for nonconventional treatment/management systems based on stream segregation, gray, yellow, brown and black water management.
