Course Objectives Cartography II Course, focuses on the cartographic design of the thematic maps produced within the context of GIS, production processes and especially the establishment of a multi-model database, generalization and symbolizing, also focuses on the key points for the presentation of geometric and semantic information, evaluations of user requirements and map use and spatial cognition.
Course Description Cartography II Course, focuses on the cartographic design of the thematic maps produced within the context of GIS, production processes and especially the establishment of a multi-model database, generalization and symbolizing, also focuses on the key points for the presentation of geometric and semantic information, evaluations of user requirements and map use and spatial cognition.
Course Outcomes Judge thematic and topographic map design,
Define, identify the volume of spatial data, organize and categorize it,
Interpret the spatial data in terms of its content and accuracy,
Evaluate and criticize maps created by different methods by considering cartographic design issues and visual outcomes of GIS analysis,
Review up-to-date methods and technologies and apply them,
Arrange and organize cartographic production process.
