Course Objectives
1. Giving the language, logic and mathematics of numerical methods used in engineering and science,
2. Teaching how to use numerical methods to solve problems that occur in a wide range of areas in science, industry and society,
3. Teaching how numerical methods can be applied in practice using Python programming techniques.
Course Description
Basic level Python programming. Definition of Numerical Methods and especially explaining their use in engineering applications.
Linear and non-linear equation system solutions, approximation methods, interpolation, linear regression, root finding, numerical derivative and integration, initial value problems.
Implementation of numerical methods with Python programming techniques.
