Course Objectives

To provide the technological and theoretical information necessary for the analysis, design and implementation of an industrial automation system.

Course Description

Components of industrial automation systems. Programmable control unit (PLC). SIMATIC S7-1200 family specifications, memory management, memory areas and access addresses. Basic operation commands, timing and counting operations, basic control applications, design methods, interrupted operation.
Control applications: Two-state control, proportional control, PID control. Process simulation and digital filter applications.
