Course Objectives This course is an orientation course for the Electronics Program’s first year students. It aims
1. to make the adaptation for the students easier,
2. to inform them on the general subject matter of Electronics Engineering,
3. to inform them on the general subject matter of engineering ethics and quality.
Course Description Who is an engineer? The history of electronics, the usage of the basic measurement devices, digital electronics, biological signals, biomedical sensors, methodologies and errors of the measurement, numerical systems, logic and circuits, circuit elements, ethics in engineering, worst&best examples in engineering ethics, quality in design and implementation.
Course Outcomes Students who pass the course will have information about the topics below.
I- The engineering concept and the history of electronics.
II- The usage of the basic measurement devices.
III- Digital electronics.
IV- Biological sensors and signals.
V- Methodologies and errors of the measurement.
VI- Numerical systems, logic and circuits.
VII-Circuit elements
VIII-Ethics in Engineering.
IX- Quality in design and implementation.
