Course Objectives 1. To train engineers who recognize the importance of maintenance scheduling when they are applying the production planning.
2. To teach students that maintenance is much more effective and beneficial activity than repairing.
3. To express that maintenance operations can improve the effectiveness of the company if and only if the whole company participate
Course Description Management of Maintenance Systems, Analysis of Maintenance Systems, Preventive Maintenance, Productive Maintenance, Total Productive Maintenance, Modern Techniques on Maintenance Planning, Computer Aided Maintenance Management.
Course Outcomes Students who pass the course will be able to:
1. Learn about the types of maintenance operations
2. Analyze the actual situation of the company before applying a new maintenance system.
3. Determine the maintenance type according to the requirements of the system
4. Decide to implement whether periodic or predictive maintenance activity
5. Determine the most appropriate maintenance period
6. To understand the philosophy of productive and total productive maintenance activities,
7. Calculate the total efficiency based on workshops instead of machines
8. Apply his/her programming ability to maintenance-repairing activities
9.To apply modern mathematical methods to maintenance-repairing activities
