ISL 233 - Microeconomics

Course Objectives

To give basic microeconomics knowledge and approaches to the students, To make them understand economic agents (firms and households) behaviors.

Course Description

The course aims to provide a sound understanding of mainstream microeconomic theories and models. Within the scope of this course theories of consumer behavior and demand , theories of cost and production, market structures and welfare economics are discussed. Basic principles of economics with a particular emphasis on the nature and application of those bearing on decision making within a household, firm or industry; including consideration of problems respecting the composition and pricing of the national output, distribution of income, pricing and output of factors of production and foreign trade.
