END 222E - Management Accounting

Course Objectives

The purpose of this course is to help students gain expertise in designing an effective management control system. Generating and using relevant managerial accounting information for better managerial decisions are thought in the course.

Course Description

The course consists of three parts. The first part aims to provide a basis for understanding accounting information system in general by explaining financial accounting, general purpose financial statements, assets, liabilities, equity, revenues, expenses, proft and loss terms, accounting boks and double entry bookkeeping in service and merchandising business.
The second part focuses on cost accounting system and basic cost terms whereas the third part explains use of relevant financial information in decision making.
