Course Objectives

1. Teach main concept of heat transfer and heat transfer ways. 2. Teach heat transfer with conduction. 3. Teach heat transfer with convection. 4. Teach to form mathematical model of thermal systems.

Course Description

Basic concepts, heat transfer mechanisms. Heat conduction in different coordinate systems.Heat conduction in flat and cylindrical walls.Steady and transient heat conduction and solution methods. Basics of convection, boundary layer, forced convection and natural convection. Phase change. Heat exchangers. Probabilities in heat conduction and convection. Heat transfer applications.
