Course Objectives

Deniz Teknolojisi Müh. Bölümü lisans öğrencilerine gereken detay ve açıklıkta zemin mekaniğinin temel prensiplerini öğretmek, temel mühendisliği, temel inşaatı tasarım ve uygulama konuları için gerekli temel bilgileri vermek.

Properties and classification of sea-bed soils. Deformation and settlement of soils. Principle of effective stress. Consolidation and Shear strength of soils. Soil structure interaction. Foundation of offshore structures. Calculation of bearing capacity of driven piles
