Course Description 1- Electric Charge & Coulomb’s Laws and Electric Field
2- Electric Field-Gauss’Law
3- Electric Potential
4- Capacitance & Dielectrics
5- Current, Resistance & Electromotive force
6- (DC) Circuits, power and energy in circuits
7- Magnetic field and magnetic forces
8- Sources of Magnetic Field: Biot Savart&Ampere’s laws
9- Electromagnetic Induction & Faraday’s law
10- Inductance& Inductors
11- Electromagnetic Waves
Course Outcomes * To calculate the electric field and potentials for point charges and continuous charge distributions
* To write the charging and discharging processes of a capacitance and effects of the
* To calculate the current and the potential differences for an electric circuit by using Kirchoffs laws,
* To calculate the magnetic fields produced by moving charges or currents, and effects of the magnetic field on moving charges or currents carrying wires
* To understand and use of the Gauss, Ampere and Faradays laws
* To write and use the Maxwell equations containing the relation between the electric and magnetism.
