Course Description Chemistry and stoichiometry, atoms and atomic theories, periodic table and some (Course Description) atomic properties, chemical bonds, molecular geometry, gases and gas laws, liquids, solids, solutions and physical properties, thermochemistry, chemical balance, acids and bases, thermodynamics. .
Course Outcomes Students who successfully pass this course:
1. Can comment and apply the structure of the atom and theories about the atom, the periodic table.
2. Can make calculations using stoichiometry in chemical reactions.
3. Apply different theories about liquid solutions and gases and solve problems.
4. Can make applications related to heat, work, enthalpy and internal energy changes.
5. Can show the three-dimensional structures of chemical compounds by using the concept of bonding and various theories related to the concept of bonding.
6. Has knowledge about the crystal structures of solids and can solve applications.
7. Can solve problems related to thermodynamics, equilibrium, acidity, alkalinity concepts and concentration.
8. Can support all this information with real examples from current life.
