Course Objectives 1. To learn the basic concepts and laws of electricity and magnetism,
2. To gain the ability to calculate electric field and magnetic fields for some simple charge and current distributions using these basic laws,
3. To learn how electric charges are affected by electric and magnetic fields,
4. To understand the basic properties of electromagnetic waves using Maxwell's equations.
Course Description This is an entry-level physics course about electricity, magnetism and electromagnetism. Main topics: Coulomb's law and the electric field, Gauss's law, electric potential, capacitance, electrostatic energy and the properties of dielectrics, current and resistance, direct current circuits, magnetic field, magnetic field sources, Faraday's law, inductance, Maxwell's equations and electromagnetic waves.
Course Outcomes 1- Ability to explain the basic concepts of electricity and magnetism.

2- Ability to apply general principles in solving problems.

3- The ability to use mathematical concepts to Decipher the relationships between physical quantities.
