Structure and Symmetry in d-Metal Complexes: Typical Ligands, Nomenclature, Bond Theories Explaining d-Metal Complexes; Coordination Balance in d-Metal Ligand Substitution Reactions; Rate and Mechanism of Substitution Reactions for Complexes with Different Geometries; Lability and Inertness, Molecularity; Electronic Spectra of Complexes, d-d Transitions, Ligand-Field Transitions, Charge Transfer Bands, Circular Dichroism, Electron Paramagnetic Resonance; Synthesis, Structure, and Bonding in Organometallic Compounds; Biological Roles of Metal Ions, Oxygen Transport and Storage; Reduction Potentials of Metals, Redox Stability, Chemical Extraction of Metals.
