Course Objectives		1. To provide understanding of the fundamental principles of ecology- how ecological science and ecological inquiry works, 2. To highlight the interconnectedness of nature, 3. To focus on ecological applications, 4. To explore links of ecology with evolution and climate change connections
Course Description		Organisms and their environments, major biomes, evolution and ecology, life history, population dynamics, interactions among the organisms (competition, predation, parasitism etc.), communities and biogeography, ecosystems (energy flow, food webs, nutrient cycling), applied and large-scale ecology (conservation biology, ecosystem management, global ecology).
