Course Objectives
Objective of the course:
1) Production of equilibrium equations in matrix form for the structural systems subjected to static and
dynamic loads
2) Determination of internal forces, deformation and displacements of structural systems by using the
computation techniques depending on matrix methods
3) To generate algorithm and software for fast and robust analysis of structural systems having diverse
behavioral models and external effects.
Course Description
Stiffness and loading matrices of frame type elements, matrix-displacement method, application of the
method to two and three-dimensional frame type structures, stiffness and loading matrices in two and three
dimensional media, materially and geometrically non-linear systems, application of matrix methods to
dynamic analysis of the structures, matrix force method.
