1. Information on the Early and Classical Ottoman Architecture
2. To be aware of the original designs of the Ottoman buildings which are restored and designed for new functions nowadays

Course Description

A detailed survey on the architectural program and the space, mass, façade and structural design of the Early Ottoman and Classical Ottoman buildings, for the understanding of the development of the Ottoman Architecture in these periods. The social, cultural and economic conditions of the period that led to this development are studied and discussed.
