Course Objectives
To inform the students about
1- advanced topics in orbital mechanics
2- advanced topics in spacecraft attitude determination
Course Description
Basic laws, review of 2-body problem. Restricted three body problem. Lagrange points and theirstability. Design of interplanetary orbits.
Selected advanced topics in orbital mechanics.
Kinematics and dynamics of spacecraft's rotational motion, Euler parameters. Torque free motion.
Course Outcomes
- Analysing restricted 3-body problem and motion of spacecraft
- Designing interplanetary trajectories
- Analysing 3-D dynamics of rigid body
- Studying attitude determination of spacecraft
