Course Objectives 1. Learning the definition of science and scientific research methods,
2. Learning scientific methodology, research design and data collection methods
3. Learning the types of scientific publications (thesis, article, report, etc.),
4. Learning the ethical principles that must be followed in scientific research and publication,
5. Evaluating successful presentation techniques, being able to systematically convey current developments in the field and one's own studies, in writing, verbally and visually, to groups in the field and outside the field, by supporting quantitative and qualitative data.
Course Description Definition and development of science, scientific research approach, literature analysis, research design, quantitative and qualitative research methods, data collection, thesis, project, and scientific article writing techniques, ethical principles to be followed when conducting research, ethical principles to be followed when publishing, ethics in reference. principles to be considered in order to make a successful presentation
Required issues, presentations to be made within the scope of the thesis topic/own engineering field.
