Course Objectives Gaining fundamental concepts about Inorganic Reaction Mechanisms
To gain an overview on the reactions and mechanisms of coordination compounds and organometallic complexes
Informating about reaction mechanisms of the complexes used as catalysts
Course Description Chemical kinetics, Ligand substitution reactions on square planar complexes; substitution reactions of octahedral Werner-type complexes; substitution reactions on tetrahedral complexes; organometallic substitution reactions, oxidative addition and reductive elimination; homogeneous and heterogeneous catalysis by transition metal complexes; oxidative-reduction reactions-electron transfer
Course Outcomes The basic principles about reaction mechanisms of inorganic compounds.
Substitution reactions on different geometries of complexes
Substitutions in organometallic complexes
Mechanisms of substitution, electron transfer, and other type of reactions
Proposed mechanisms for reactions which are homogeneously and heterogeneously
