Course Objectives		To gain the ability of composing in respect to the features of polyphony, makam music and instruments
Course Description		A quest for polyphony in respect to compositional conventions and makam theory. Idiomatic composition for duo, trio and quartets. Use of human voice and instruments in combination.
Course Outcomes		I. Ability to compose polyphonic music in respect to the conventions of composition and makam music. II. Knowledge about the instruments and the experience of writing idiomatic music for them III. Ability of writing music using human voice and/or instruments IV. Ability of using musical features pertaining tonewer and traditional styles in combination
