Course Objectives
The aim of this course;
1. To give information about the concept of cognition
2.To explain the relationship between maritime and cognition
3. To give information about maritime cognitive applications
4.To gain skills in planning, motivation and development related to cognition in maritime field
5.To give information about international and comparative cognitive models
Course Description
An Introduction to cognitive modeling, The concept of cognitive behavioral perspective, Cognitive psychology and related disciplines/theories, History of cognitive psychology, Thinking like a cognitive expert, Introduction to memory, the multi store model, encoding and retrieval, Working memory model, Problem solving in maritime, Optimal decision making in maritime, Augmented cognition and maritime adaption, Cognitive computational models, Meta cognition and cognition system, Cognitive model applications in maritime , Cognitive studies in Turkey
