Course Objectives This course aims to bring together the theoretical and practical issues in international trade with special emphasis on recent developments in international economy. International trade course will cover major theoretical approaches to international trade, linkages to real world phenomena, as well as the most recent developments in the world economy. The aim of the course is to equip the student to evaluate the changing world trade and financing structures and analyze actual problems in the world economy. Topics will cover theories of international trade, international fragmentation of production, types of capital flows and trends in foreign direct investment and the open economy framework including balance of payments, exchange rate determination, currency and balance of payments crises
