Dersin Amaçları

The “Topics in Stratigraphic Paleontology” course contains two main parts: stratigraphy and paleontology. We will learn stratigraphy and paleontology parts respectively.

The specific learning goal of this course is to gain detailed knowledge of various stratigraphic methods to characterize the 3-D spatial and temporal relationships of sedimentary rocks. The course is focused on different stratigraphic methods including lithostratigraphy, biostratigraphy, chronostratigraphy, magnetostratigraphy, sequence stratigraphy, and isotopic stratigraphy.
