To be able to calculate these statistics using Excel
To be familiar with sampling techniques and related issues

A basic course in general statistical methods, with applications in the field of engineering. Content includes analysis of data in terms of measures of central tendency or averages, measures of dispersion and probability theory, and basic aspects of tests of hypotheses.
