Dersin Amaçları		Dersin amacı, günümüzde giderek artan afet risklerini planlama aşamasında minimize etmeye yönelik önlemler ile mevcut afet risklerinin, risk azaltma yoluyla bertaraf edilmesini kentsel dönüşüm model ve uygulamalarının tartışılmasıdır. The aim of the course is to discuss the precautions to minimize today's gradually increasing disaster risks at the planning stage and the current disaster risks through risk reduction, cutting-off urban regeneration models and implementations.
Dersin Tanımı		Afet kavramı, türleri, risk kavramı, riski tanımlama yöntemleri, afetlerin önlenmesinde planlamanın rolü ve mevcut risklerin azaltılmasında uygulanan yöntemler, afet yönetimi kapsamı, çeşitli ülke sistemleri ve Türkiye afet yönetimi hukuki altyapısı, kentsel sakınım planı süreci ve afet etkilerini minimize etme yol ve yöntem örnekleri Conceptual and methodical information about concept of disaster, its sort, the concept of risk. Dersin Çıktıları		-Students shall define type of hazards. -Students shall define type of disasters. -Recognize the importance of mitigation and urban planning interdependence -Understand the concepts of natural hazard, disaster, mitigation, ecological planning and sustainable planning -Identify and use of different legal and administrative tools in Turkey Develop a case on a settlement by integrating mitigation perspective with urban planning practice -Identify mitigation strategies for different natural hazards
