Course Description
Fault types and their morphological and mechanical properties. Stress theory and its application to faulting. Morphological features of the landscape and its significance in terms of the active tectonics. Earthquake seismology. Mapping and interpretations of earthquake ruptures. Trench studies and its results. Dating methods of the faulting events. Modelling of faults and earthquakes.
