Course Objectives

To learn the complex distribution of stresses on the sections under combined loadings.
2. To gain an ability to apply the solution techniques for statically undetermined systems.
3. To learn the criterions which are used in the stress analysis
4. To introduce the concept of the structural stability and advanced topics

Course Description

The aim of this lecture is to make an engineering student gain the ability to deal with and get correct answers for practical problems related to Transverse Shear, Combined Loadings, Stress and Strain Transformation, Design of Beams and Shafts, Failure Theories, Deflections of Beams and Shafts, Buckling, Energy Methods.
