Primary and secondary aluminum production, alloys, classification, forming methods, casting, forging, extrusion, semisolid, heat treatment, physical properties, material selection, design, quality control, recycling of aluminum. Solidification, homogeneous-heterogeneous nucleation, growth in pure metals and alloys, cellular and dendritic growth, equilibrium and non-equilibrium solidification, constitutional undercooling, eutectic, peritectic, monotectic solidification, Chvorinov rule, fluidity, shrinkage, porosity, feeding criteria and mechanisms, feeder calculation, mould design and casting rules.
