Course Objectives
1. To provide students with basic knowledge on the essential biomolecules and biochemical concepts so that they may follow the recent biotechnological developments.
2. To provide background to understand and analyze the enzymatic reactions being conducted in the chemical and food industries.
3. To improve to skills of the students in the reaching information via internet
4. To improve the students written communication skills in the Turkish.

Course Outcomes
Students who successfully completed the course will gain the following abilities:
1. Demonstrate knowledge about the current and developing bioprocesses in the chemical and food industries.
2. Demonstrate knowledge about the biomolecules in te order to follow the developments in biotechnology.
3. Demonstrate an ability to analyze biochemical processes.
4. Use the internet and the library to keep up with the latest developments in the biochemistry.
5. Prepare written reports in Turkish.
