Course Objectives

1. To teach the solution methods of systems of linear equations and to provide the ability to use the concepts of matrix and determinant in application.
2. To introduce the basic concepts required to understand, construct, solve and interpret differential equations and to teach methods to solve differential equations of various types.
3. To give an ability to apply knowledge of mathematics in civil engineering problems.

Course Description

Matrices and Systems of Linear Equations, Vector Spaces, First Order Differential Equations, Higher Order Linear Differential Equations, Eigenvalues and Eigenvectors, Systems of First Order Linear Differential Equations, The Laplace Transform.
