HUK 212 - Syndicate and collective bargaining law

Course Objectives

The course’s aim is to teach the students principles of estabishment and functioning of labour unions, warranties of right to unionize, scope of collective agreements, authority and process of collective bargaining, strike and lock-out.

Course Description

The origin of labour law has been concurrent with acquiring of employees some power of bargaining against employers, under labour unions. Conception of employees protection through statues which can be changed only in favour of employees, arised after the Second World War. Through unionization, employees have determined their working conditions in collective agreements resulting from bargainings with their employers.
