Course Objectives

1. To introduce the students basic concepts of fluid mechanics,
2. To improve the students’ ability to define, solve and interpret fluid mechanics problems.

Course Description

Properties of Fluids, Classification of fluids, Fluid statics and its applications, Fluid flow phenomena, Basic equations of fluid flow, Mechanical energy equation, Incompressible flow in pipes and channels, Flow of compressible fluids, Transportation of fluids, Measurement of flowing fluids.
