Course Objectives

The purpose of this course is to explain electrical machine, circuits and components in ships and to establish a sound basis for Project design.

Course Description

Introduction to electrotechnology, basic electrical engineering laws (Faraday, Ampére, Ohm etc.), direct current (DC), alternating current (AC), circuit analysis, ship electricity, electrical machines in ships, power systems, control systems, wiring, safety.
