MOD 162 - Fashion Art Studio

Course Objectives

Students explore fabric characteristics and learn to render various textures, weights, and patterns. Through research
into history and current trends, they develop original designs, customer profiles, and professional presentation
boards. First part (module) focuses on designing collection groups, while other module focuses on drawing from
fashion figures to master fabric rendering on the female form.

Course Description

The primary objective of this course is to enable students to identify various fabric categories and develop
appropriate designs for these materials, while enhancing their skills in accurately rendering fabric textures, weights,
and drape on the fashion figure. The course aims to develop students' proficiency in market research,
research-driven collection development, and professional presentation techniques.
