MOD 132 - Fashion Art & Design II

Course Objectives

Students learn to explore the nature and hand of fabrics and how to render different textures, weights and patterns in their fashion designs. Students will develop original designs through researching historical periods, current fashion styling, and color trends as they are applied in fashion design. Design journals, customer profiles and various presentation formats are introduced. Fashion categories and markets are explored as they relate to the various fabrics and trim groups.

Course Description

Students will be evaluated on the basis of their completed assignments. The evaluation will include design creativity, theme and course objectives, presentation/rendering techniques, professionalism and follow-through assignments.
