Course Objectives
The objectives of the course are:
1. to teach the basics of knitting technology
2. to inform students about different knitted fabrics and their properties
Course Description
Introduction to knitting technology, terms and definitions, analysis of knitted structures, properties of yarns used in knitted fabrics, faults occurring in weft and warp knitting production and their probable causes
Course Outcomes
At the end of the course, the students will have:
1. a knowledge of different knitting technologies,
2. an ability to recognize different knitted fabrics and to analyise them,
3. an ability to identify, analyze, and solve knitting problems,
4. an ability to improve knitting efficiency and/or knitted fabric quality
