EUT 501E - Research Methods
Course Objectives
This course is designed to introduce graduate students to definitions of research based on research in the physical sciences tradition, research in the humanities tradition, and design research, as well as ways of approaching research, i.e. quantitative research designs, qualitative research designs, and comparison of the qualitative and quantitative research methods. The course includes different modules drawing on studies which represent cases of utilizing different research methods such as observation, interview, ethnography, historiography, and protocol analysis.
