1. Presentation, classification and analysis of queueing models
2. Modelling of telecommunication systems and similar systems under various traffic conditions
3. Economical design of telecommunication systems and similar queueing systems
4. Prediction of system bottlenecks, systems analysis, and learning efficient use of system resources

Probability theory, random processes, Memoryless and Markov properties
Markov chains
Definition of queueing models and their classification
M/M/1, M/M/k and relevant models, steady state analysis
Loss models, Erlang formulas
Tandem queues, queueing networks
Non-Markovian systems: M/G/1, G/M/1, G/G/1
