Course Objectives
1 To teach the elements of human error, to understand the role and importance of human factor in maritime safety and security system,
2 To teach different approaches and techniques on human factor,
3 To comprehend and apply human performance and workload methods,
4 Social and professional working conditions, rules and standards to provide information about.
Course Description
Basic concepts of human and human error, different assessment techniques and methods. Human factor in maritime, projects and researches. Performance evaluations, subjective and physiological workload assessment techniques (SWAT, NASA-TLX, HRA, EMA, etc.). The use of tools used in workload determination, measurement and evaluation. Case studies. Relevant rules and regulations, assessment of social and professional working conditions and ergonomics, their impact on workload and performance.
