Concept of real time control. Microcontrollers and Digital Signal Processors used in control applications, programming languages, operating systems convenient to real time control, effects of limited word length. Real time control structures: PID controller, Design in state space,
Optimal control, Adaptive control, sliding mode control applications. Other control methods used in real time control. Applications of real time control systems
