GEO 511 - Information Technology and GIS

Course Objectives

1. Geographic Information Systems (GIS) use advances in information technology. It is aimed to establish the relationship between the Information Systems used in unique areas with GIS and the differences will be mentioned.

2. Information technologies and GIS standards and organizations will be mentioned and skills will be improved in software databases and CAD systems.

Course Description

The course includes GIS and related standards, organizations, database systems and software, GIS applications in related disciplines and purposes.
