Course Objectives
1. To teach the basic concepts of HRM, 2. To teach the basic concepts of company, ship and seafarer management, 3. To teach training and performance assessment of seafarers , 4. To teach HRM applications in the maritime.
Course Description
Fundamentals and functions of Human Resources Management (HRM). Company-ship organization and seafarer management. HRM application on seafarers; seafarers HRM planning, personnel selection and employment, training, certification, performance assessment and career planning. Personnel harmonization to ship and sea life. The concept of International and strategic HRM and their applications in maritime.
