Discussing the conservation and development implementation issues in the dimensions of design, planning and management.
Integrating the conservation and development implementation issues with the site management approach.

Course Description
Changing issues in planning approach to historic environment. Survey, analysis and evaluation techniques. Planning problems in historic environment. Conservation and nsportation. Conservation and building use. Types ofconservation implementation: Prevention of deterioration; protection; restoration; modernization; reconstruction; reproduction; redesign. New buildings in historic areas. Case studies.
Course Outcomes
To understand conservation and development interactions
To understand the relations between urban design, planning and management issues in the conservation implementation studies.
To be able to contribute the solutions of spatial, social, cultural and economic problems.
To understand interdisciplinary interaction related with the conservation implementation.
