Course Objectives
1. Understand main micro and macroeconomic models with the help of basic theory, numerous examples and case studies.
2. To be able to use economic models to analyze market structures, competition, and macroeconomic policies.
Course Description
Theories of demand and production; perfectly competitive markets; imperfectly competitive markets; asymmetric information and externalities; impact on social welfare of regulatory government interventions; neoclassical synthesis in Macroeconomics; business cycles ; macroeconomic policy debates.
